Why Train with 2 Start?
Here at 2 Start Training, we strongly believe in giving our students the best experience possible, which is why we have heavily invested in our fleet to ensure all our vehicles and equipment meet the highest standards possible. Furthermore, if you complete one of our driver training courses, you will be taught to the highest standard by extremely qualified and experienced instructors.
Dedicated on-site reversing facilities
Each one of our 5 training depots has dedicated on-site reversing areas, having these facilities at our Portsmouth depot, Southampton depot, Reading depot, two at our Theale training centre, and our Worthing depot, helping us to provide top-class HGV and logistics driver training to thousands of students in Hampshire, Berkshire, West Sussex, and the surrounding areas.
It is uncommon for driving schools to have their own on-site reversing facilities because of the space required to house them. However, we feel it is important that our students can train in an undistracted, professional, and high-quality space, which is one reason why we are the go-to destination for HGV driver training.
We now have 6 DVSA-approved 3a test areas across the South Cost.
Immaculate fleet of training vehicles
Another reason we are the premier logistics training centre in the South is because of our immaculate fleet of training vehicles, all of which are automatic and air-conditioned.
We have ensured that our students receive the most comfortable training experience possible, which is why all our vehicles are nearly new and include extra features such as automatic gearboxes.
Our fleet has grown massively and continues to get bigger as we strive to help as many people as we can gain their desired licences.
Different payment options
We have a number of different payment options available to help you spread your driver and HGV training costs, including our deposit options and Price Match Promise. We are confident that our prices are competitive and prove good value for money for the extremely high standard of training that we provide, meaning you can book your course with 2 Start in complete confidence.
Other available courses
As well as driver training, we also provide an extensive range of classroom, online and theory-based training courses such as CPC, ADR and PASMA courses. Not only have we invested heavily in our driver training facilities, but we have also worked hard to ensure that our classroom facilities surpass the highest standards available! All of our classrooms are well-lit and air-conditioned, giving our students a dedicated and undistracted training environment to complete their theory training.
We also provide HIAB and forklift training, with a variety of training options available to book online now or by calling our team!
What is meant by driver training?
Driver training is the process of learning the correct techniques, procedures, and knowledge that is needed to operate a vehicle, the type of driver training you complete, will work towards your desired licence.
Here at 2 Start Training, we specialise in HGV driver training and help our students work towards getting a lorry licence, covering all aspects of HGV driving from 7.5-tonnes through to HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles and all the categories in-between!
What is the aim of driver training?
The aim of driver training is to work towards gaining your proffered licence, in the case of our students, their HGV licences.
Additionally, completing driver training will ensure that you are safe and efficient at operating the category of vehicle you have completed your training for on the road and have gained the knowledge and skills required to obtain your licence.
The amount of training you need will depend upon your current skills level, the amount of previous experience you have, and how confident you are at driving a vehicle. We have a wide range of HGV driver training courses for you to choose from, all of which will educate you on how to operate the vehicle in training.
