Module 9 – Practical applications of Slinging
In Module 9 students will take what has been learnt in the theory session on slinging and applying it to practical scenarios.
Your instructor will advise on what applications they would like you to demonstrate and will help train you through areas you may find more difficult than others.
This training module will focus on Shackles, Eyebolts & Lifting Hooks.
The aim is to educate each student on the correct use cases for each fitting & fastener to ensure a safe lift and your use of either a Shackle, Eyebolt or Lifting Hook will play a pivotal part in the decision-making process depending on what is intended to be lifted.
You will be shown the correct way to inspect the fittings and what markings to look for to identify its load limit for example.
