In order to tackle the major shortage of HGV drivers in the UK, the Government has introduced Skills Bootcamps. These bootcamps are free training courses that will take attendees up to 16 weeks to complete. Those who are looking for a new job as an HGV driver and pass the HGV training course are guaranteed a job interview with a local employer.
These Bootcamps are in place to introduce up to 5,000 new drivers into the logistics and haulage industry. These programs will help combat skill shortages and encourage more people to start a new career within the logistics sector.
This article will go into more detail on HGV Skills Bootcamps and answer any questions that you may have.
