Licence checking for Car to C+E

If you applied for a provisional Category C licence before the 15th November 2021, you will only have a provisional Category C entitlement showing when checking your licence online. It is important that when attending your Fast Track Car to C+E course, you MUST bring the accompanying email from the DVLA to confirm that they have added the C+E provisional entitlement to your licence.

How to add the C+E provisional entitlement to your licence

As stated above, if you did your medical before 15th November 2021, you will require additional provisional entitlements to your licence.

Those drivers with a provisional lorry or bus/coach entitlement issued before 15th November 2021 that require any extra provisional entitlements will need to apply to the DVLA by emailing Extraprovisional@dvla.gov.uk

The email you send will need to include your:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Driving licence number

Following your email, you will be issued with email confirmation for your entitlements to allow you to complete your training and sit your tests.

3a Tests, Theory checks

As per our joining instructions you receive confirming your driver training and tests, we state that you MUST bring your driving licence, NI number, and theory pass papers.

You must bring along your theory pass papers to every day of your driver training course! You will NOT be able to sit your 3a test without having these present for the examiner to check.

If you do not have these documents present. You could face forfeiting your 3a test fee and having to re-pay the £40 fee to be booked back in for your test.
