Levels available:

Novice: For trainees with little or no previous experience operating the relevant forklift. Typically our novice courses last for five days.

Experienced: For those with relevant experience who have not received any approved training, or whose certification is expired (over five years from issue date). Typically our experienced forklift training courses last three days.

Conversion: Forklift conversion courses involve training on a forklift of a similar level to the one that the operator has already been trained, tested, and certified on.

Course Types:

Counterbalance Forklift

A B1 Counterbalance Forklift is the most common type of forklift truck that is used in industry today, and a popular choice. They are versatile, allowing you to move loads both indoors and outdoors, and are able to stack loads at various heights. This forklift has a “counterweight” on the back of the truck, hence the name. Training can consist of both indoor and outdoor manoeuvring.

Categories :
B1: Rider Operated Counterbalance Lift Truck – up to and including 5,000kg lifting capacity
B2: Rider Operated Counterbalance Lift Truck – above 5,000kg up to and including 15,000kg lifting capacity (training available on Customer site only)
B3: Rider Operated Counterbalance Lift Truck – above 15,000kg lifting capacity (training available on Customer site only)

Reach

Reach forklift Trucks are primarily used in warehouses, to access products at greater heights. This forklift truck is also helpful when aisle widths are narrower, allowing for increased storage.

At 2 Start, we offer D1 Reach Forklift Training (up to 8m lift height) as well as D2 above 8m lift height (training only available on customer sites).

Pivot Steer

Pivot Steer Forklift training covers how to properly manoeuvre, stack, and de-stack using this Forklift Truck (FLT). The Pivot Steer falls into the P Group of Forklifts. This truck has the ability to articulate the forks, through 180 degrees, helping to move round corners and into Aisles when space is restricted. A Pivot Steer forklift can operate in aisle widths as small as 1.8 meters which increases warehouse space for more capacity. A Pivot Steer truck can also operate inside and outside as well which is in addition to narrow aisles, doing the job of both a counterbalance and a reach truck all in one machine.

Powered Pallet Truck

A Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) is commonly used to move and load or offload pallets from a variety of vehicles. powered pallet trucks are commonly found in warehouses, so this is a popular course for those working in that environment. At 2 Start, we offer the following types of pallet stacker truck training:

  • A1 Pedestrian
  • A2 Rider
  • A5 Pallet Stacker

Truck Mounted Forklift (Moffett Forklift)

Training relates to using a forklift truck which can be mounted and dismounted from a lorry. It is defined as a truck-mounted forklift/Transportable. This FLT is primarily for outdoor use only, can be driven over uneven ground and is convenient to transport from one location to another with ease. Cutting the waiting time to be unloaded by the customer.

Forklift certification

All forklift certificates will be issued in a paperless format, you will receive an electronic copy sent via email after course completion. If you wish to have a physical certificate and card posted to you, this will be available for an additional cost.
