Our PASMA Towers on Stairs course will give students the knowledge to safely assemble, dismantle, alter and inspect without risk of personal injury to candidates or others. This course includes both theory and practical training elements, with a required pass mark of 80% and will take 1-day for students to complete. In order to complete this course, you must hold a current “Towers for Users” PhotoCard and have a good working knowledge of working a height.
Since 1st January 2022, hard copies of your pass certificate are no longer available! You will be sent a PDF copy of your digital certificate via email by our team which will be valid for up to 5 years!

What is PASMA?
PASMA stands for Prefabricated Access Supplier’s and Manufacturers’ Association and is a widely-recognised certification for those who work at heights using mobile access towers.
What will my PASMA Towers on Stairs training cover?
If you choose to complete our PASMA Towers on Stairs training course, you will be taught how to safely assemble, dismantle, alter and inspect mobile access towers without risk of personal injury or to other delegates.
The contents of your course will include:
- Current legislation
- Regulations and guidance affecting working at height with access towers
- PASMA code of practice
- Product Standards EN 1004:2004; BS Part 6
- Assembling, altering and dismantling towers incorporating current best practices for fall protection
- Inspection of completed access towers and completion of Tower Inspection Records
- Hazards affecting the use of towers on stairs
Do I need PASMA training?
Completing PASMA training will show to employers that you are competent, compliant and efficient at working with mobile access towers at height. It will also show you have training to a high standard.
Where can I complete my training?
Our PASMA Towers on Stairs course is available to complete at our Southampton depot, which gives us good coverage of the surrounding areas including Romsey, Totton, Hedge End and Winchester.
Instructor ratio
This course is taught on a maximum of 1:8 instructor-trainee ratio.
Requirements to complete PASMA training at your site
We are offering students the ability to complete their PASMA Towers on Stairs training on their own sites, using their own equipment. There are a series of requirements that you must meet in order to be able to complete our training on your site which include having suitable space in order to carry out assessments and testing as well as having a training room big enough for the number of delegates completing the course. Also, students will be required to wear PPE as per the company’s internal risk assessment.
