ALLMI – Lorry Loader
The ALLMI Novice course is ideal for those who are completely new to the world of HIAB. This course will give you extensive knowledge on operating a lorry mounted crane. If you don’t have any previous HIAB training, then our novice course is the one for you!
The ALLMI Operator course consists of 15 modules, the two-day courses culminate in a written and practical examination. ALLMI is notified (by our team) of all courses in advance of the training taking place. The assessment process is set by ALLMI and administered by our instructor. It consists of two theoretical assessments and one practical. The theoretical assessments consist of a set of multiple-choice and ‘open’ questions, as well as questions that relate specifically to the crane attachment being used. The practical assessment is designed to identify whether the candidate has the appropriate practical skills to operate a lorry loader safely and efficiently.
The ALLMI HIAB Novice (1 Attachment: Brick Grab or Hook) course is completed over a 2-day period.
The training day starts at 08:30 and finishes at 16:30 with a maximum of three students to one instructor ratio. This will enable the instructor with enough time to properly instruct operators on different types of lifts and to instruct students on the theory.
Upon successful completion of the course, every candidate will:
The identity card and certificate will show the categories for which the operator is licenced.
ALLMI Operator training is the UK’s only lorry loader training programme to be commended by the Health & Safety Executive. The programme is also recognised by Build UK and is referenced within the organisation’s official “Training Standard”.
This course is available to be completed at 3 of our training centres which includes locations in Portsmouth, Reading and Worthing.
Great HIAB course, Wayne was excellent - thanks again
I highly recommend 2 Start training. Due to having some spare time on my hands I decided to take some courses to improve my chances of being offered a different variety of work. I have just completed my HIAB training, ADR course, Moffett and counterbalance forklift course. I successfully passed them all. The quality and standard of training is excellent and I am planning to do my slingers course although since passing the courses I have already have had many of offers of work so will now need to find the time! Many thanks to Alan, Paul and Joe for the training and Daisy for her efficient and prompt organisation of the courses.
I had training from 2 Start towards both my Class 2 and Class 1 LGV tests. I didn't therefore have any hesitation when I needed to undertake ALLMI Lorry Loader training too. The whole experience from initial enquiry to training and ultimately theory and practical tests was superlative. I'd highly recommend them for any training you might need in this sector. The office staff and instructors are consumate professionals.
