Our six training depots are located in: Portsmouth; Otterbourne; Aldermaston; Theale; Worthing and Havant. Our training centres are conveniently situated within the local areas of the following counties to provide the maximum coverage within: Hampshire; Isle of Wight; West Sussex; East Sussex; Surrey; Buckinghamshire; Oxfordshire; Berkshire; Wiltshire and the eastern side of Dorset.
What does PASMA mean?
PASMA Stands for Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association and is a widely-recognised certification for those who work at height using Mobile Access Towers.
Tower training will teach you skills such as how to assemble, dismantle and relocate Mobile Access Towers. This training will show employers that you have received a high level of training and have the certification to prove you are compliant.
All of our PASMA courses are taught by approved instructors, who will help ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to safely operate a Mobile Access Tower.
We offer PASMA training in Portsmouth, Southampton, Reading and Worthing.

What is PASMA training?
PASMA training revolves around the use of Mobile Access Towers, which are commonly used on construction sites. Taking on of our PASMA courses will teach all candidates how to safely and securely operate a Mobile Access Tower, as well as giving you the skills and knowledge to pass your practical assessment.
What does training cover?
The contents of your training will depend on which course you take. We have a variety of courses that will teach you skills such as how to assemble, dismantle and relocate towers, as well as how to work compliantly under the Work at Height Regulations.
All of our students will receive a PASMA photocard and certificate upon successful completion of their course.
How long does training take to complete?
The length of your PASMA course will depend upon which of our courses you decide to complete. The courses we provide and their durations are listed below:
Course Structure
A combination of practical and theory elements, in order to successfully pass your course, you will need to pass both sections to gain your operator licence.
PASMA training starts in the classroom, where your qualified instructor will take you through the relevant theory training. You will then be required to sit a short assessment; an 80% pass rate must be achieved before moving on to the practical part of the course. The practical will either be held inside our warehouse or outside, weather dependent.
A debrief in the classroom will signal the end of the course.

Training Facilities
Those of our students who complete PASMA training at any of our training depots will have access to some of the best training facilities available, including fully-equipped classroom facilities that are well-lit and air-conditioned for theory training.
Practical training will be completed using our spacious and clean warehouse facilities, with more than enough room for you to complete your training.
We ensure that our depots are immaculate and that all of our students have a clean and tidy environment to complete their training, ensuring your course is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!
Additionally, if the weather permits, your training can be completed outside!
Training Cost
The cost of PASMA training ranges from £170 to £470 for standard PASMA training courses with 2 Start Ltd, and our off-site courses vary in price depending on your specific requirements.
Your Photocard & Certificate
If you need to work at height using Mobile Access Towers, it is important to complete training so that equipment can be used effectively and safely whilst complying with legal requirements. In addition, the trainee will gain new skills, with PASMA training ensuring that within a company, the right safety measures and accident prevention have been put into place.
What PASMA Qualificatoin Will I Get?
Once you have successfully completed one of our courses, you will be issued with a Certificate and Photocard (if purchased) for the course you have passed. Your card is proof that you have received accredited training and that you are competent at working with Mobile Access Towers.
The industry often refers to the certificate as a ticket, when in fact they are the same thing
If you need to work at height, training is important so that equipment can be used effectively and safely whilst complying with legal requirements. In addition, the trainee will gain new skills. PASMA training ensures that within a company the right safety measures and accident prevention have been put into place.
It is useful to obtain your towers qualifications, as it shows employers that you are compliant and that you have received the correct training for working on Mobile Access Towers at heights.
Also, many businesses will expect your to have the proper certification before employing you.
How long is my PASMA certificate valid for?
Your licence/certificate is valid for up to 5 years.
Once your qualification has expired, you will be required to complete a refresher course, which will help allow you to obtain a new photocard and certificate.
PASMA Licence
The PASMA licence is provided by the Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association (PASMA).
Although the certificate is not a legal requirement, it is highly recommended you obtain this certification, as this will be required on all reputable work sites if you plan to use PASMA equipment while on-site.
The PASMA certification provides any contractor or employer that the bearer has demonstrated the required level of competence with regard to the knowledge and practical skills to safely erect, dismantle, and work with mobile towers.
Course Duration
The duration of your PASMA training will vary depending on which one of our training courses you choose to complete. The majority of our PASMA training courses will take 1-day to complete with both of our combined PASMA and IPAF courses taking 2-days to complete.
Our courses will ensure that you have all the correct skills and abilities that you need to safely work on Mobile Access Towers. Our courses will teach you a variety of skills, each different course teaching you different skills. You will learn how to safely assemble, dismantle and relocate towers.
Off-site PASMA training
We can offer PASMA training on your site.
We can bring our mobile scaffold towers to you, or we can use your equipment. We cover a large area of the South of England, with bases in Reading, Worthing, Southampton, and Portsmouth.
