Accommodation is in a high quality hotel where you will have an en-suite study bedroom. All the courses in our Resettlement Package are designed to be residential in either Portsmouth or Reading. We recommend that all our delegates study with us on a residential basis. This is by far our preference for all course delegates due to the various benefits that this options offers:-
Some of these benefits include:-
- you will able to work in groups in the evenings to undertake exercises set during the day on the course.
- You will be able to discuss the work of the day with other course delegates at the hotel after the course.
- You will be able to focus on studying without other distractions during the course
We usually have a mix of resettlement and non-resettlement delegates on each course. 2 Start have found it is easy to perceive the tiredness through daily travel and the isolation through lack of interaction and working with others that this causes them. This sometimes can have an impact upon their course results. We do therefore recommend to ensure the greatest result to a service leaver attending a resettlement package for a long duration of time is that they do stay on a residential basis.
Are you entitled?
The resettlement funding is made available to those leaving the forces looking to retrain for a civilian career. Most service leavers qualify for up to seven weeks resettlement time for personal and career development during their last two years in the Services.
