Driving licence extension issued by DVLA

DVLA give new extension on expired driving licences

The DVLA have issued an update about extensions for driving licences that expire between 1st February 2020 and 31st August 2020. If your photocard driving licence or entitlement expires between these dates, you have a 7-month extension from the date of expiry.

This means you won’t have to renew your photocard or entitlement to drive until 7 months after your original expiry date.

You won’t have to do anything as this extension is automatic.
