GOVERNMENT CONFIRMS DRIVER CPC WILL STAY
6 October 2016
A response from the Department for Transport to Commercial Motor has confirmed that Driver CPC will stay despite Brexit taking place within the next few years.
Commercial Motor magazine had asked the DfT whether Driver CPC would remain in the UK following the leave vote.
A spokesman for the department said: “The Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training can play a significant role in making roads safer and reducing pollution through eco-driving. We are looking at promoting the training within the trade and also how parts of the CPC might work more efficiently with National Vocational Qualification courses.”
