Each one of our depots has industry-leading training facilities such as dedicated reversing areas to help ensure you have the best experience possible.
Our Portsmouth depot is a DVSA approved testing site, meaning if you train at this depot, you may be able to take your HGV driving test here too.
You will be taught by one of our highly experienced and professional LGV 1 instructors, who are completely dedicated to ensuring you have the highest standard of training. All of our driving instructors are trained to the highest standards. All of our driving instructors are either NRI qualified or are working towards their NRI qualification. You can be assured that you will be getting the highest quality of HGV driver training.
Our LGV 1 Driver Training vehicles are new DAF CF’s pulling a 30ft twin axle box trailer. All of our LGV 1 vehicles are articulated – tractor unit and trailer. We don’t use wagon and drag vehicle combinations.
Our vehicles have automatic gearboxes, air conditioning and comfortable seats meaning that you can drive around in comfort and focus on your lesson.
To obtain your C+E licence you will need to first need to sit and pass your category C licence meaning you will already be able to drive a ridged (class 2). There are no more medicals, or theory tests to be taken, you simply need to pass your practical driving test.
