This course is ideal for those candidates who have no experience at being a Slinger Signaller and will cover all the aspects you need to pass your training and gain your ALLMI qualification.

What qualification will you receive?

This is an ALLMI-accredited training course and is delivered by our ALLMI-approved instructors, all of which are dedicated to ensuring you have the skills and knowledge necessary to pass your training course.

All our instructors are highly qualified and experienced, and work hard towards providing the best training experience possible for all our students.

Qualifications will be issued at the end of the course to those who have successfully passed their practical and theory assessments.

How long will the qualification last?

The ALLMI Slinger Signaller Novice qualification that you receive will be valid for up to 5 years, at which point refresher training will be required to retain your qualification.

Where can you complete your training?

This course is available to complete at four of our training centres, which include our Portsmouth, Southampton, Reading, and Worthing depots.

Additionally, we can deliver our Slinger Signaller Novice course at your site, using your equipment if you meet the requirements.

What are the payment options for this course?

Here at 2 Start Training, we offer deposit options on all of our HIAB training courses, allowing you to pay your deposit and then pay your remaining balance before you begin your training with us.

Course duration

The Slinger Signaller Novice course duration is 2-days which makes this training course ideal for those who have no previous experience at being a Slinger Signaller and provides plenty of time to learn the required skills which provides our students with the best chance of passing the qualification.

How many students will be on this course?

We limit all our Slinger Signaller Novice courses to 4 students on any one course.

All our Slinger Signaller training courses are carefully constructed and planned to ensure all students have adequate time with their instructors, and that our instructors have sufficient time to watch and help all students on the course.

I attended the car to C+E course. Had the best experience from knowing nothing to passing my test first time all thanks to Phil my instructor, the knowledge and skills he gave me during the two weeks was second to none. Thanks to the whole team at 2 Start as they were all happy to help through the whole process. Whenever I need to do another course they will be the first people I will contact. I completed my car to C+E Fast Track with Alex at Theale and passed first time! I'm in no doubt this was down to expert instruction by Alex who was fantastic throughout my two week course. A professional, knowledgeable instructor who calmly guided me through the process from scratch to test. I would highly recommend 2 Start to anyone wanting to learn how to drive cat C or C+E and no doubt anything else. They have great equipment, facilities and instructors and will be the first choice for me if I look to add any more categories to my license and for CPC training.

I had a really good time with Roy C from 2Start learning how to drive a rough terrain forklift. I thought I had quite a lot of driving experience but learning to drive the rough terrain forklift was one of the most challenging thing I have done for a while. Ray C is a great teacher and simplified the complex process of lifting and moving objects with the forklift by breaking down the various tasks contained in the test into manageable sections so that it was easier to learn. I highly recommend 2start Training and Roy C as a great instructor.

Some of the instructors are 5 star guys, however one of them is not fit for this job, brings his own issues to work and takes it out on his students.There's also another thing, they are 40min away from the test centre and test routes so your 3-4h driving session is almost half spent on driving to and from the routes.So, if you don't mind driving 40-50% of the time off the test route and having an instructor shout at you and put you down, then this provider could be ideal for you.

Passed my C+E today. I've held my C licence for 20 years and it that time I picked up some bad habits. I spent 3 days with Greg then the last 2 with Jon. Between them they fettled my skills. I started the test with a good feeling of confidence. Both instructors were true professional. They are 100% honest in there assessment then they work with you at your pace to address any issues you may have. I feel they have a true passion for their job. The facilities or clean and tidy as are the vehicles. Every aspect is professional. I would have no hesitation recommending 2 Start.

Past my category c driving license with rob @ 2 start. I can’t recommend these guys enough. Rob was very calm and gave very clear instructions and advice to improve my driving. He gave grate feedback and positive encouragement. Was happy to answer any questions and concerns I had. Plus I passed my test 1st time with the one week of training. The site is clean and tidy and the lorry’s are kept very clean and tidy as well. Everyone staff member I met at the depot where polite, friendly & approachable. Unfortunately Rob wasn’t present for my test but the depot manager who took me to test was just as polite and friendly. And Rob even took the time to congratulate me after passing.
