Our A5 Powered Pallet Refresher course is for those who have an in-date certification between 3 & 5 years old. This course covers both theory & practical elements of training, completed in 1 day.

Once you have completed your refresher training, there are three tests that you need to pass; a theory test, a pre-use inspection and practical skills test. If you are successful, you will receive your operators’ card and certificate.

This course can only be completed at our Southampton depot.

What's Included?

Train with an ITSSAR accredited Forklift instructor who will build your knowledge and comprehension around the safe operating and use of a A5 Powered Pallet Forklift Truck.
Either complete your course at our Southampton training depot with dedicated warehouse and training facilities, or at your own site (permitting your location meets the requirements outlined in the Facilities and Equipment Requirements Guide.)
Join the list of others who are on the Trained Operator Passport Scheme (TOPs).

Course Modules

Your refresher training will consist of theory and practical elements relevant to the A5 Powered Pallet Truck. At the end of your training, you would have been taught the following:

Responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act, 1974, PUWER 98 & LOLER 98
Operators safety code
Battery maintenance and charging procedures
Pre-use checks
Factors affecting stability
Motive controls
Hydraulic controls
Manoeuvring in open and confined areas
Stacking at different levels
De-stacking with laden and unladen pallets

Your skills gained will also show that you can safely and competently operate an A5 Powered Pallet Truck. Including being able to stack and de-stack at several levels, load and unload vehicles, as well al carrying our battery maintenance and charging procedures.

Ongoing requirements

The refresher training will keep your certification in date. This must be completed every 3-5 years if you wish to retain a valid certification for the A5 Powered Pallet Truck.
