Here at 2 Start Training, we believe in giving our students the best experience possible and work hard to ensure all training is to the highest standard possible. This video will give you an insight into the IPAF operator training courses that we provide here at 2 Start.
IPAF training will teach candidates how to safely and efficiently operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). IPAF is an accrediting body that’s dedicated to promoting the safe and effective use of powered access equipment.
Holding an IPAF qualification is recognised worldwide and will show others that you have a high standard of IPAF training. It also shows that you have the skills to work at height on the specific MEWPs that you completed your training on.
IPAF stands for International Powered Access Federations who are a member’s organisation, that is responsible for maintaining high standards of powered access life usage around the world. This is done through ensuring professional and safe testing procedures are completed by anyone who wishes to use an elevating platform.
IPAF courses are required by anyone who wishes to use a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP). It is a legal requirement that anyone who works at height has to have completed some sort of professional IPAF training.
If you successfully complete one of our IPAF courses, you will be awarded a PAL (Powered Access Licence) card. This is an internationally recognised certification and will show anyone, such as employers or health and safety officers that you have the correct training to be working at heights.
Our IPAF courses cover a variety of different skills and knowledge, depending on which one of our courses you decide to choose. The courses we provide include:
Each of these courses will train you in how to use all the equipment specific to each course and give you the skills you need to safely operate a MEWP.
The length of your course will vary depending on which IPAF course you decide to complete. The 1b, 3a, 3b, combined 1b, 3a & 3b courses as well as the combined 3a & 3b courses we provide all take 1 day to complete.
The price of your IPAF course will completely depend on your requirements and which one of our courses you decide to complete.
We offer IPAF courses at our Southampton and Worthing depots. Additionally, IPAF can be completed at your site, using your equipment.
Once you have successfully passed your IPAF course, you will be issued a PAL card which is an official certification that is valid for up to 5 years after you’ve completed your course.
Once your PAL card expires you will need to complete another IPAF course.
We are confident that our prices are competitive. But in the unlikely event that you receive a lower quotation from another company for the same training, we will match it. What’s more, you can be sure we won’t be compromising on training content or quality.
With our Price Match Promise you can choose 2 Start Ltd with complete confidence.
