What is the National Register of LGV Instructors?

The National Register of LGV Instructors is a register f highly trained driving instructors who have gone through a series of intense tests to improve their driving knowledge and skill. It is supported by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and was created to help improve the level of LGV training to help increase pass rates.

Furthermore, the register was implemented to track the standards of LGV training and to ensure high standards of training do not fall.

How would joining the National Register of LGV Instructors help me?

If you successfully complete this course, you will receive a recognised qualification as well as an ID card and pass certificate. Completing this course will show that you have extensive knowledge of LGV driving and that you know how to properly instruct LGV driver training.

Additionally, you will know that your training is up to the highest standard and you can be confident that you are being taught the correct knowledge and skills when it comes to completing your test.

Where can I complete my National Register of LGV Instructors course?

Our National Register of LGV Instructors courses are available to be completed at our Reading depot.

What is Forklift Instructor Training?

Our Forklift Instructor Training will ensure that students have the skills and knowledge that is required to prepare and examine operators for lift truck operations. Delegates will understand how to do this in line with the current best practices.

By the end of our Instructor course, you will be able to:

  • Recall and discuss relevant legislation like LOLER 98, PUWER 98.
  • Be aware of the codes of practice relating to lift truck operation. ACOPS.
  • Be able to plan, prepare and deliver lift truck training to the ITSSAR standard.
  • Conduct a classroom presentation effectively.
  • Conduct a practical lesson effectively.
  • Write a professional report on the candidates learning.
How will completing a Forklift Instructor course help me?

If you’re already qualified at operating a forklift and want to become an instructor, you will need at least 1 year’s forklift operator experience and must have an operator’s certificate issued within 6 months. Completing one of our Forklift Instructor courses will help show to others, such as potential employers, that you have completed an extremely high standard of training and that you are qualified to complete the job of a forklift instructor to a high level.

Our forklift instructor training courses are available to be completed at our Portsmouth, Southampton, Reading and Worthing depots!
