Who are IPAF?
IPAF are the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) who promote the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide.
IPAF provides technical advice and information; through influencing and interpreting legislation and standards, and through safety initiatives and training programmes.
Each year every IPAF accredited training centre undergoes an annual audit.
On Thursday 14th April 2 Start Training hosted the International Powered Acess Federation (IPAF) at our Southampton depot for our annual Training Centre Surveillance audit, scoring 98.4% out of 100.
We received some outstanding comments from the auditor across all factors of our IPAF courses, including our facilities and the high standard of training we provide here at 2 Start Ltd.
What is the purpose of the audit?
IPAF Audits are completed annually at IPAF members training sites to ensure that all internal processes are working correctly and that they fall in line with the requirements of the accrediting body (IPAF).
Furthermore, these audits help to ensure courses maintain the high standard of training that IPAF expects from all of its members, as well as ensuring all records of courses are completed within the set standards.
All IPAF courses are delivered to conform with the standards laid out in ISO 18878 – The International Standard for Mobile Elevating Work Platforms Operator Training. It’s paramount these standards are delivered through all IPAF training and upheld, which means the standards are suitably high for training centres.
When speaking in regards to the IPAF training facilities we have at our Southampton depot, the auditor commented that classroom facilities are “All comfortable and furnished to a high standard” and that the “practical area is conducted both indoors, and outdoors. The site is a dedicated training centre”.
Here at 2 Start Ltd, we strive to provide the best training experience possible and have heavily invested in high standard equipment for all aspects of our training programme delivery, including our machines, with the auditor stating “They have dedicated machines for training which are all in good condition all with valid certificates”.
High training standards
We continue to be proud of the training that we deliver across the board, from our IPAF training to our driver training, and recognise the importance of welcoming our accrediting bodies to visit our training centres to conduct both arranged and unannounced audits of our courses.
Undertaking these audits ensures 2 Start provide an outstanding level of high-quality training, ensuring our candidates are well prepared for the work task whilst remaining safe and confident with their new skills and that the training provided is of the highest standards. Our most recent score of 98.4% confirms this.
